Financial Controller | Strategic & Hands-On

An established and growing company in the manufacturing sector is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead and continuously improve its finance function. • Lead all core finance activities including budgeting, forecasting, statutory accounts, and monthly management reporting
• Drive efficiencies across processes and systems within the accounts department
• Translate financial data into meaningful insights for operational teams
• Improve interdepartmental collaboration between finance and operations
• Oversee customer/supplier relationships and internal control measures
• Maintain compliance with HMRC regulations, GDPR, and other statutory frameworks
• Guide and mentor junior team members while building a culture of continuous improvement

• Proven experience in a finance leadership role within a manufacturing environment
• Deep understanding of the full accounting cycle, business controls, and process optimisation
• Strong management reporting, cash flow forecasting, and strategic planning skills
• A proactive mindset - someone who improves systems, not just maintains them
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
• A high level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or qualified by experience with a robust track record)
• Strong Excel and systems skills, and a process-driven approach
• Experience managing acquisitions, funding, or cross-border transactions is a plus
