PART TIME POST - 21 HOURS A WEEK ALL YEAR ROUND

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to join our school nursing team as an administrator. You will provide day to day clerical support to the School Nursing Service across Stockport, including uploading and scanning of documents to patient electronic records and general office duties

You must possess excellent communication and IT skills and be flexible and adaptable to the needs of the service. Previous experience in a health care setting is desirable although not essential and you must demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills.

Main duties of the job
  • To provide clerical support to the School Nursing Service across Stockport.
  • The post holder will be familiar with a full range of clerical tasks to provide support to the clinical team.
  • The post holder will require IT Skills using a range of systems including Word and Excel.
  • The work involves working with sensitive and confidential patient information on electronic child and adult health records systems.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
  • To provide a full range of clerical tasks using IT skills include spread sheets, word processing, emails, electronic patient record processes and retrieval of information using a variety of systems.
  • General office administration skills including filing and the management of electronic and paper child health records and telephone duties.
  • To work as part of a team and to carry outs tasks set by the line manager or School Nursing Team Leads.
  • Understanding of GDPR, Patient confidentiality, Risk Management and Health and Safety Procedures and guidelines.
  • To process incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Undertake all other work deemed appropriate to the role in consultation with line manager.

Education and qualifications

Essential criteria
  • English and Maths GCSE, O Level or A-C above or equivalent qualifications
  • NVQ level 2 or above in a relevant subject such as customer care, IT or business administration

  • Administrative qualifications eg RSA, Keyboard skills, ECDL
