Numeracy Intervention Lead
- Start date: 1 September 2026
- Contract: Fixed Term for 3 Years
- Hours: Full time, 37 hours/week; term-time plus one week, 39 weeks/year.
- Salary: Grade 8, points 19 – 20. Full-year salary is £32,061 to £32,597; pro rata salary for term time working is £27,453 to £27,912

About the role
UCC is an inclusive, ambitious community. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced Numeracy Intervention Lead to deliver targeted interventions. This is a new and vital role at UCC. You will be based in our Maths department supporting pupils with a diverse range of needs and abilities across a broad age range, that could include Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.

About You
The successful candidate will have- Proven experience in delivering successful interventions, particularly to students with lower prior attainment;
- A good knowledge and understanding of Maths;
- Possess a strong understanding of SEND strategies, with relevant qualifications in behaviour support or emotional literacy being highly desirable;
- Be a collaborative team player, capable of leading small working groups for intervention and working alongside our Maths department, Learning Support Assistants and external agencies;
- Hold a deep commitment to promoting student independence, well-being, and successful transition from primary school.
