Management Accountant

As one of our Management Accountants you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of transactions on financial systems, and quality controls and checks are in place to maintain accuracy.

You will provide day-to-day support across a range of core financial activities and undertake all month end tasks, including processing journals, budget profiling and accurate forecasting.

You will apply your financial expertise to provide advice, produce high quality reports and insightful management information for senior managers and decision makers.

In these roles you will build collaborative relationships with both Finance colleagues and Managers within various business areas across the Agency.

As Management Accountant, your key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Managing the recording of forecasting data on behalf of the Finance Business partner, conducting reconciliation between the various forecast reports and ensuring agreement with the Senior Management Accountant prior to month end.
• Managing month end tasks, including reviewing and agreeing monthly accruals and prepayments with key directorate staff.
• Maintaining manual reports agreed with the Senior Management Accountant to meet budget holder requirements, ensuring data is accurate and up to date.
• Conducting monthly analysis of actual transactional data to recognise trends in income or expenditure, identify budget variances and present findings.
• Building relationships across various business areas to provide advice, support and challenge on financial information.
