Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Science Teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity? Teaching Personnel Dorset is currently recruiting for a Science Teacher to join one of our partner schools in Bournemouth from September.
About the Role: This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified Science Teacher to inspire and engage students in a supportive and well-established school environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering dynamic and interactive lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring students develop a strong understanding of scientific concepts and a love for the subject.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver innovative and engaging Science lessons that support student learning and progression.
- Assess, monitor, and track student achievement, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, ensuring all learners are challenged and supported.
- Set high expectations for behaviour and academic achievement, fostering a culture of respect, curiosity, and ambition.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practices.
- Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations, helping them build the necessary knowledge and confidence to succeed.
- Contribute to the wider school community, including participation in extracurricular activities, clubs, and intervention sessions where required.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for making Science accessible and engaging for all students.
- Excellent classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a reflective approach to teaching and learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to ensure high-quality education in a dynamic school setting.
