Clinical Psychologist
Locality: Job Title: Pay Band: Base and Service: Main base at The Terraces Astor Drive Mount Gould with requirement for travel to community venues where services are delivered and to partner agency offices. Reports to (Line Manager): CAMHS Neurodiversity Clinical Pathway Managers Accountable to (Professionally/Managerially): CAMHS Service Manager Dimensions and Context of Role: Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services across the full range of health provision have been bought together within a single leadership and management structure to establish a Comprehensive CAMHS which aims to: To improve children and young peoples mental health through the effective management of the health and social care component of a Multi-disciplinary CAMHS Service for children and young people (CYP); providing safe, culturally competent, effective, cost efficient, timely and accessible services that are in accordance with national and local priorities and responsive to the needs and views of local children, young people and their families.
To provide highly specialist clinical practice input to the team, delivering practice within best evidence and to the highest possible standard. To contribute to the establishment of a positive working environment and open learning culture, which fosters high morale and commitment within the CAMHS Service.The post holder will work systematically in exercising their professional skills and responsibilities to provide psychological services and expertise in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). The post holder will contribute professional expertise to the provision of assessment and intervention for children and young people who require a specialist Neuro developmental assessment and CAMHS intervention.
In addition, they will provide consultation and training to other agencies and assist in the development of systems of audit/evaluation of the team. This post holder will supervise assistant clinical psychologists/research assistants, trainee psychologist and particular pieces of work conducted by others according to skills and experience.
