Management Accountant
Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join an exciting Professional Services company with a fantastic name within their industry based in South Bristol. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:
£50,000 - £60,000 plus hybrid remote working and wider benefits package
Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Overseeing the company's financial accounting, monitoring, and reporting systems
- Prepare and present accurate and timely monthly management accounts and commentary, highlighting progress against Business Plan and KPIs and make financial recommendations
- Manage the annual short-term and medium-term business planning process, including annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting. Support board decision-making through monthly analysis of budget and forecast variances and reporting against business plan
- Analyse and report relevant financial and commercial information (e.g. service profitability, customer profitability, pricing, etc) to support business decision-making
- Support company financial strategy and decision making by identifying opportunities for greater operational efficiencies and margin improvements, risk assessment and mitigation
- Providing strategic financial insights and analysis to support key business decisions
- Monitoring and forecasting cash flows
- Overseeing a weekly payroll of staff
- Analysing business changes and offering advice to drive continuous improvement
- Developing and implementing financial and administrative management systems
- Managing relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, bankers, and regulatory bodies
- Preparing accurate and timely financial reports to meet business and statutory deadlines
Person specification:
- CIMA/ACCA or ACA qualified
- Experience creating and reporting monthly management accounts
- Confident communicator across all levels
- Intermediate level Excel
