Lead Health and Safety Specialist

Position Summary
The Lead Health & Safety Specialist will work closely with ESG and executive management to oversee all infrastructure and facilities activities while supporting corporate social initiatives. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of building functions and ensuring the safety and functionality of all facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine safety inspections across all facilities
- Liaise with contractors and vendors for maintenance and improvement projects
- Plan and coordinate maintenance work to minimize disruptions
- Maintain accurate records of all facilities-related activities and inspections
- Supervise facilities staff, ensuring efficient operations and compliance with safety standards
- Support corporate social responsibility initiatives as they relate to facilities and safety
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures
- Manage budget for facilities maintenance and improvements
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Facilities Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior health and safety or facilities management role
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in facilities management software and MS Office suite
Desired:
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH)
- Experience in implementing sustainability initiatives in facilities management
