Responsibilities:

Governance Technology Solutions (GTS) is a strategic technology function created to deliver dedicated product and technology support to the Compliance, Legal, Human Resources, and Internal Audit teams. GTS is accountable for defining, prioritizing, and delivering global product strategies that enable these functions to operate more effectively, with a focus on areas such as Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Onboarding, Know Your Client (KYC), document retention, legal discovery, and broader governance initiatives.

A key mandate of GTS is to establish clear ownership and oversight across the product lifecycle — from vendor selection and contract management to implementation, enhancement, and decommissioning. The team partners closely with business stakeholders to ensure product solutions are aligned to global needs, cost-effective, and scalable.

This includes rationalizing vendor relationships, renegotiating terms, identifying new product opportunities, and championing a unified, global view in technology decision-making.

As a Product Manager within GTS, you will take a product-centric approach to driving strategic technology change. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business requirements, shape roadmaps, manage delivery, and optimize product value.

Your work will directly contribute to the successful execution of GTS’s product vision and its ability to meet the evolving needs of our global stakeholders.

Primary Duties will include:

  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for the Global Relay & other communication archive platforms, including product strategy, roadmap development, requirements definition, implementation, and ongoing optimization.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all business and technology stakeholders using or supporting the Global Relay platform across Legal, Compliance, and other functions, ensuring alignment with regulatory, operational, and business objectives.
  • Translate regulatory and business requirements into clear, actionable product features and enhancements in collaboration with internal stakeholders and the Global Relay vendor.
  • Manage vendor relationships including service level agreements (SLAs), contract renewals, escalations, and ongoing product roadmap discussions.
  • Lead cross-functional working groups to ensure timely delivery of platform enhancements, including onboarding new user groups, migrating legacy data, and expanding surveillance and retention capabilities.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance by working closely with Technology, Compliance, and Legal teams to embed relevant policies and controls into the platform's configuration and governance model.
  • Monitor and report on platform performance, including usage metrics, archival success/failure rates, search and retrieval performance, and user satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials, and process guides to support effective use of the Global Relay platform across global teams.
  • Stay current with industry trends and regulatory changes impacting electronic communication retention and surveillance, proactively identifying opportunities for platform improvements or new use cases.
  • Champion continuous improvement, gathering user feedback to inform future enhancements and ensure the platform continues to meet the evolving needs of the business.

Qualifications:

To land this role you will need:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distil complex regulatory and technical information into clear, concise documentation, user stories, business cases, and executive updates.
  • Proven experience in product management or product ownership, ideally within legal, compliance, or financial services environments — with a strong track record of delivering high-impact technology solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, from business users to executive leadership, across global and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing the full product lifecycle, including defining roadmaps, gathering and prioritizing requirements, leading discovery workshops, and supporting ongoing enhancements.
  • Strong capability to create clear, actionable communication artifacts (e.g., process flows, RACI charts, communications plans, release notes, FAQs, and training guides).
  • Comfortable presenting to diverse audiences — from end users to senior leadership — and facilitating productive, outcome-focused meetings and workshops.
  • Experience managing relationships with third-party vendors, including product roadmap collaboration, issue escalation, and SLA management.
  • Strong understanding of electronic communications archiving, surveillance, and retention regulations, especially as they relate to financial services compliance.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to support decision-making, assess product performance, and identify areas for continuous improvement.
