Grounds Maintenance Operative

As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be expected to:- To carry out ground’s maintenance works to domestic and communal grassed areas which Sovini Property Services manage. Duties will include, grass cutting, hedge trimming, strimming, pruning and bed work
- To ensure high quality performance is delivered.
- To adhere to contract programmes and ensure target times are achieved.
- To build and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues.
- Ensure all works are carried out and completed to a high standard.
- To identify specific needs for customers and ensure the service is tailored accordingly.
- Commit to equality and diversity and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
- Adhere with the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.
- Level 2 qualification in Horticulture
- Good overall standard of education
- Full, clean driving license preferably with category BE allowing you to tow a trailer. (Please highlight if you have this on the application form.)
- Experience of a similar role previously either for a contractor or directly for a housing association
- Ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate proactive approach to the achievement of team goals
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised and demonstrate initiative and acceptance of responsibility
- Excellent organisation skills including the ability to prioritise and manage own workload, meet deadlines and achieve targets
- Ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels within the organisation and externally
- Flexibility to work outside of conventional hours when required.

- A high level of self-motivation, enthusiasm
- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.

- PA1 and PA6 qualification
- Competitive salary - £25,372.42 per annum
- Hours – 40 Hours per week (Hours are Monday to Friday 07:30
- 17:00 in the summer for 32 weeks and then 08:00
- 15:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00
- 14:30 Friday in the winter for 20 weeks)
