Our Coventry based client are a supplier to the aerospace and defence industries for over 40 years, specialising in producing precision components. They work with a range of materials including brass, aluminium, mild and chromium steels to Inconel and stainless steels.

As an Experienced CNC Turning Machine Setter/Operator⦁ Setting, and operating fixed head machines
⦁ Interpretation of drawings and 3D digital files
⦁ Produce prototypes / small production runs
⦁ Carry out inspection of your work (CMM and Manual)
⦁ Maintain clean and tidy stations
⦁ Produce work of a high standard by adhering to quality standards to ensure that product is produced to agreed specifications.⦁ Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues to promote successful teamwork.
Whats the job?
⦁ Ideally Apprentice Trained⦁ Time served / equivalent experience in a precision machining company
⦁ Strong understanding of Fanuc programs with ability to edit, re-run tools etc.
⦁ Able to move offsets
⦁ Able to prove unproven programs, safely
⦁ Competent in inspecting own work using CMMs and gauges to verify product quality
⦁ Conversant with Lynx and Doosan machinery (essential)
⦁ Multi-axis and sub-spindle
⦁ Working to tight tolerances
⦁ Experience of working with a wide range of materials including , Inconel, titanium, mild steels, brass, aluminium-bronze, bronzes, aluminium, plastics, super duplex etc.
⦁ Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail
