Health Care Assistants

We are seeking candidates who can provide evidence of experience in the caring profession or evidence of national vocational qualifications to join our valued nursing Team on ward 9 Glan Clwyd Hospital.

If successful at interview, we will support you to complete the steps required along with providing you with Induction training for our Organisation.

You will receive a permanent Contract of Employment as a Band 2 Healthcare Assistant .

Main duties of the job

We have exciting opportunities for a motivated and dynamic Health Care Support Worker to join our Gastroenterology Team on ward 9 Glan Clwyd hospital.

To assist registered nurses/practitioners to deliver based care to patients/clients, working in partnership with other health care professionals, the patient their family and carers.

Deliver patient care as documented in the nursing care plan. Carry out a wide range of duties under the supervision of a registered nurse for the period of the shift.

The knowledge, skills and values you bring to the service has a significant impact on the delivery of high quality, evidence based care. We have an excellent learning culture and you will be given support and opportunities to develop throughout your career.

There are a number of educational opportunities available, including mandatory and statutory training and other study activity to support you. The Health Board has strong partnerships with local academic providers and supports staff to progress through paid study leave, and access to in-house training agreed in your PADR.

We also have a dedicated Education team which will help and support you in your career development with BCUHB. There are many career pathways for you to consider once you have settled in and wish to progress either clinically or academically.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
