Tutor for English, Maths, and PSE - Immediate Start

• Location: Oxted, RH8
• Job Type: Part-time, In-person
• Salary: £30 per hour

This role requires a compassionate individual who can deliver face-to-face instruction and adapt to the student's learning needs.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Conduct tutoring sessions in English, Maths, and PSE for a total of 4-6 hours per week, potentially increasing to 10 hours.
• Sessions to be held at the local library in Oxted, with the possibility of an introductory session at the student's home in Hurst Green.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the student's academic needs and personal development.
• Set and review SMART targets to track the student's progress, updating the virtual school regularly.
• Provide weekly reports on progress and any challenges encountered.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in tutoring or teaching English and Maths at a secondary school level.
• Ability to create and deliver engaging and effective lesson plans.
• Experience working with students with special educational needs; familiarity with EHCP is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of motivating students and building trust.
• Must be available to start as soon as possible and commit until the end of the term or until a school place is found for the student.
