GCSE English Tutor

We are looking for passionate and experienced English Tutors in the Vauxhall area with a proven track record of success in teaching students at GCSE level, with the AQA exams board for Literature and Language. Our tutors are skilled at developing and delivering engaging and informative lesson plans, assessing student learning, and providing academic support.They are also effective communicators and have a strong ability to build relationships with students.

- Subject and Level: AQA GCSE English Language and Literature
- Hour(s): 1 hour 20 minutes per week
- Day(s) and Time(s): Alternating Tuesdays and Wednesdays
- Week A: Wednesday 1:40-3pm / Week B: Tuesday 10-11:20am
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver tuition programmes 1:1
- Provide tuition that is appropriate for needs and study level
- Assessing any barriers to student’s learning and working to overcome these
- Monitoring student progress and producing reports
- Creating a positive and supportive learning environment
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum content and qualification frameworks you're providing subject tuition in
- Regularly reporting updates to the Tuition Programmes Manager
- Bachelor's degree in English or a related field
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs is required
- 3+ years of tutoring / teaching experience
- Ability to work with students of all abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
