The Network Administrator will be responsible for designing, managing, and maintaining the organization's computer networks to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. This role requires a technically skilled professional with hands-on experience in network configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and security.
The Network Administrator will work closely with IT teams and departments to implement and support scalable and secure network infrastructures that align with the company's operational needs. The successful candidate will work 37.5 hours per week and will solely work for Inawizdom Ltd.

Requirements
  • Network Design and Management:
Plan, design, and implement network infrastructures including LANs, WANs, and VPNs to meet the needs of the organization. Regularly evaluate network performance and reliability, making necessary adjustments or upgrades.
  • Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
Proactively monitor network performance using appropriate tools and platforms, identifying and resolving issues such as network bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and latency issues. Respond to network outages and provide prompt resolutions to minimize downtime.
  • Security Management:
Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, encryption, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Configuration and Maintenance:
Configure, deploy, and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and other network hardware. Ensure all network devices are kept up to date with the latest firmware and software updates to prevent security vulnerabilities.
  • User Support:
Provide technical support to end-users and resolve network-related issues. Assist with troubleshooting connection problems and configuring network access for employees, contractors, and guests.
  • Network Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and security protocols. Prepare reports on network performance, security incidents, and system upgrades for senior management.
  • Backup & Disaster Recovery:
Manage and maintain data backup and disaster recovery systems to ensure business continuity. Implement redundancy strategies to minimize potential network failures and data loss.
  • Vendor Management:
Work closely with external vendors to procure networking equipment, services, and software. Evaluate and manage vendor relationships to ensure the best value and service.
  • Compliance & Policy Enforcement:
Ensure that the organization's network infrastructure complies with internal policies and relevant industry standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Enforce network usage policies to safeguard against unauthorized access or misuse.
  • Continuous Improvement:

Stay up to date with the latest advancements in networking technologies and best practices. Proactively recommend and implement network optimizations and emerging technologies to enhance the performance and security of the company’s infrastructure.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer) are highly desirable.
  • Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on network configuration, troubleshooting, and security. Experience with enterprise-level network infrastructure is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing VPNs, VLANs, and network segmentation.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark).
  • Strong knowledge of network security principles, including firewalls, encryption, and VPNs.
  • Experience with cloud-based networking (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell is advantageous.
