The Governors at Claypool wish to invite candidates to apply for the post of School Business Manager. This role is integral to maintaining the family ethos of the school and creating the welcoming environment that our children, parents and visitors expect.

• Has experience of managing finance within a school setting and an understanding of the need to secure best value;
• Has the ability to manage a wide range of stakeholder relationships;
• Can manage complex administrative procedures;
• Is able supervise and support staff to deliver efficient operations of the school;
• Will be able to exercise discretion and confidentiality;
• Is forward-thinking and approachable;
• Is proactive in seeking opportunities to improve school systems and processes;
• Is a confident decision maker;
• Is able to establish positive relationships;
• Has a strong work ethic and a good sense of humour.

Key areas of responsibility will be:

• Finance securing financial sustainability in the medium to longer term
• Administration ensuring delivery of core reporting to both internal and external stakeholders
• Personnel managing and supporting the current team
• Premises supporting the Site Manager in maintaining and enhancing our current facilities and health and safety requirements and regulations including GDPR
• Grant Applications & Procurement applying for and managing external bids, contracts etc.
