Product Manager
A growing manufacturing business is searching for a Product Manager in the greater Sittingbourne area.
Your Role
While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
- Promoting a positive and professional image to colleagues, customers, and suppliers across all interactions.
- Supporting operational excellence by fostering efficiency, accountability, and clear communication.
- Ensuring SLA adherence and collaboration with ISS, aligning with EFC business objectives.
- Maintaining and communicating quality standards across ISS and 3rd party sites, including ripening, packing, and labelling.
- Monitoring and managing product quality throughout the ISS facility, including returns, rejections, and utilisation plans.
- Conducting daily site walks to review product conditions, food safety, stock quality, and operational standards.
- Providing continuous feedback to suppliers and internal teams to drive product quality improvements.
- Taking ownership of stock allocation and product ripening, ensuring accurate use and minimal waste.
- Collaborating with commercial and technical teams on claims, stock utilisation, and product re-inspections.
- Assisting in order management with the sales team and providing depot-specific stock recommendations.
- Supporting compliance and audits including BRC, TFS, Organic, and Ethical standards, as well as internal audit schedules.
- Coordinating and analysing product testing, including shelf life, residue, and micro-testing schedules.
- Participating in process improvement efforts to enhance KPIs and operational efficiency.
- Supporting supplier and customer visits, including UK and international travel, and document findings.
- Contributing to seasonal reviews, reporting accuracy, and end-of-season assessments to drive ongoing product improvements.

- Experience handling risk assessments, incident reporting and inspections
