SEND Teaching Assistant - Independent Secondary School

We are delighted to be working alongside an Independent Secondary School in search of a skilled SEND Teaching Assistant. This school provides a warm, positive environment focused on child engagement, with a specialist approach to supporting students with Autism and ADHD traits.Through dedicated care, therapeutic services, and a well-rounded curriculum, the school supports students with complex learning needs, helping them grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be part of a passionate team dedicated to fostering a collaborative, trusting, and ambitious environment. You'll play a key role in delivering personalised, differentiated lessons aligned with the National Curriculum, ensuring each child receives the support needed to succeed.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive commitment to student development, embodying the school's values while guiding students aged 11-16 in their learning journey.
This role requires a strong background or experience in working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, particularly Autism and ADHD.- Experience working with SEND students in a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support capacity.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification (desirable, but not essential).
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
