Job Title: Site Cleaning Manager
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday; flexible start/ finish times for business needs
Hours: 40 hrs a week

Contract: Permanent position

We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Site Cleaning Manager to oversee the operational delivery of janitorial services at the site, building excellent relationships with the client and your team whilst maintaining a high-quality service output.

  • An understanding of cleaning, waste and forklift truck activities.
  • Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the site in terms of layout, fit-out, working hours and operating times in order to create and adapt adequate cleaning schedules.
  • Manage all staff on-site, ensuring a consistent delivery of hours, in-line with the site budget
  • Administer payroll for hourly paid staff, both direct employees and agency, in-line with company procedures and targets
  • Create and promote a positive safety culture on-site where hazards are proactively recorded and a lessons-learnt approach taken to limit accidents and incidents.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Control of Substances Hazardous to health.
  • Achieve excellent cleaning standards, exceeding client expectations, evidenced through the weekly cleaning standards audit undertaken with the client. Acting upon any potential failings and opportunities for improvement in a timely manner
  • Drive continuous improvements by seeking innovations, identifying efficiencies and negotiating with customers, staff and suppliers
  • Maintain adequate stock levels and place orders as required and within the site budget
  • Ensure all equipment is well-clean, well-maintained and safe, as well as it being operated in-line with the requirements of site
What are we looking for?
  • Experience working in a Cleaning/ Healthcare setting
  • Experience in Management, ideally of large teams
  • Someone adaptable, motivated and organised with excellent timekeeping
  • An engaging and enthusiastic personality with staff, clients and stakeholders
  • Commercial awareness with experience of holding budgetary control
  • IOSH Managing Safety or comparable qualification - or willingness to complete within first month of employment
  • Must be able to complete a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service check
