Skills & Experience:
CIPS qualified or working towards CIPSA solid understanding of Procurement Processes and governance processes
Experience of working in a procurement environment
Experience of working in either a customer-facing and/or supplier-facing role with problem-resolution duties
Experience of working in either a customer-facing and/or
Project Management skills
Excellent analytical and excel skills.
Problem solving skills.

Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
Ability to prioritise a varied workload and work under pressure to meet deadlines
What's involved with this role: The purpose of procurement is to obtain competitive prices for supplies, delivering the most value for money for the organisation throughout the procurement lifecycle. This must be done within the applicable legislative framework.A Procurement Officer is a central part of the procurement department, and you’ll liaise with key stakeholders to ensure Procurement requirements are understood and comply with internal governance and procurement policies.
Key responsibilities:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to support delivery of Procurement objectives and Strategy.Lead assigned sourcing initiatives, which vary in terms of scope and scale.
Conduct market competition and manage the evaluation across a cross-functional team to determine supplier selection.
Understand business requirements and structuring deals to meet those requirements.
Use spend analytics to identify spend outside Procurement management, work with the wider team to identify opportunities to improve delivery of value/ cost avoidance or savings and mitigate risk.
Identify and document risks, issues and opportunities.
Negotiate deals to achieve optimal commercial terms.
Draft contracts based on standard terms and conditions.
Build relationships with key suppliers.
