Process Technician - Semiconductor

A leading developer of photonic and optic devices is now seeking an additional Process Technician to join their team in Southampton.

As Production Technician you will work in the cleanroom undertaking processes including metal sputtering, furnace processing, photolithography, acid etch, wafer dicing, polishing, and poling as well as inspection and characterisation.

You will be working on product development and externally funded research projects which focus on developing the next generation of device.

Some general administration will be required as part of the role.

Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience in a similar Process Technician role, in a cleanroom is essential for this role. Experience gained in an academic or commercial environment will be considered.

You should be familiar with optical or semiconductor device processing processes.

A relevant degree or equivalent knowledge is essential for this role.

Preference will be given to applicants who have experience using SEM, profilometers or surface characterisation tools.

Additional Information:

Candidates MUST be eligible to work and live in the UK, without requiring sponsorship. Copies of Visa and Passport will be requested for verification.

Salary / benefits: c£30k plus benefits
