KYN HURLINGHAM is our second home due to open in the first part of 2024. It’s a 32-bedroom home offering each resident an elegant and comfortable bedroom, communal areas for dining and reclining. We have a further two care homes in development in London.

About the opportunity
As a BANK Sous Chef, you will be responsible for:
- Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and maintain high-quality dish standards for residents.
- Take charge of the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence and uphold established standards.
- Ensure dishes meet KYN’s standards for preparation and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and best practices in the kitchen.
- Drive consistency in food offerings and adhere to menu specifications.
- Demonstrate organization and attention to detail for seamless service.
- Ensure team compliance with kitchen service standards and monitor health and safety procedures.
- Educate staff on menu items for effective communication with residents and families.
- Manage kitchen stock in the Head Chef's absence, including monitoring and auditing stock levels.
- Investigate stock discrepancies and enforce preventative measures.
- Store and rotate stock according to KYN’s policies and food safety regulations.
- Possess knowledge of health and food safety regulations and coach team members accordingly.
- Ensure up-to-date risk assessments and procedures for food-related tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding residents’ dietary requirements and personal information.
- Foster personal and professional relationships within the team.
- Act as a role model in work ethic and service quality.
- Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Create a supportive team environment that promotes morale and commitment.
- You will have experience of working within a 4–5-star hospitality venue
- You will be a professional, who has a proven track record of delivering and maintaining kitchen standards at the highest level – keeping a safe, clean, and compliant environment
- You will have strong communication and influencing skills, an approachable manner, and an eye for detail
- You will be passionate and have the ability to drive standards that not only meet but exceed expectations and elevate the lives of our residents
