As a Radiology Assistant in our Plymouth Hospital, your role calls for equal excellence in both administration and people skills. You'll be adept at working quickly and accurately, with a great eye for detail. You'll also need a caring nature and the ability to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy.Here, you'll help deliver a high quality diagnostic imaging services.
As a Radiology Assistant, you will:
- Facilitate our high-quality ultrasound service ensuring a high level of patient care, respect and dignity
- Undertake appointment bookings
- Work closely with our Consultant Radiologists, Radiographers and Administration team
- Be involved with clinical audit and other administrative duties relating to your role
- Accurately input data into radiology software CRIS, patient management software PIMS to ensure correct billing of patients
- Provide a service of the highest quality, delivered with sensitivity and compassion
To succeed as a Radiology Assistant, you will have:
- Level 2 Qualification in Healthcare
- Experience within a work environment, preferably within a customer focused / people focused setting
- Basic IT skills
- A caring nature - to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy
- Willingness to undertake non-clinical tasks to ensure the safe and effective running of the Radiology department
- Work well within a close, supportive team. Willing to go the extra mile to ensure the patient has a positive experience
- Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
