The Opportunity
We're currently recruiting a Field Service Engineer to join a growing engineering team, supporting customers across the Milton Keynes region.This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys varied, autonomous work, building relationships with customers while maintaining high-quality service standards.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on materials handling equipment
- Diagnose faults using electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Complete accurate service reports, documentation, and parts management
- Deliver excellent customer service on-site, acting as a company ambassador
- Identify upsell opportunities and additional work where appropriate
- Ensure full health & safety compliance at all times
About You
We're looking for candidates with a strong engineering mindset and practical experience, ideally from one of the following backgrounds:
- Automotive / Vehicle Technician
- HGV / Plant / Forklift Engineering
- Agricultural or Military Engineering
You'll also have:
- Solid mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
- Experience working in a field-based or customer-facing role
- The ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
- A full UK driving licence
