Dunbia Preston now wishes to recruit for the skilled Engineer position on Nights (Shift pattern 4 on 4 off).

At our Preston site we process both beef and lamb and we are currently looking for Skilled Engineers to work in the Retail production and Abattoir/ Boning Hall, within our production team.

It’s a fast-paced environment, with targets and customer specifications to achieve and we offer competitive rates for skilled individuals, with opportunities for progression available.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Carry out planned maintenance, fault finding and repairs in the productions departments.
• Support the Engineering/Production operations as required.
• Moving and re-installing of machinery when needed.
• Machine change overs and set ups.
• Carry out check sheets as required.
• Liaising with external contractors when necessary
• Maintaining effective working relationships with key site personnel
• Mentoring and training of single skilled engineers
• Adhering to Company policies and procedures and Health & Safety legislation

Qualifications:

Experience and Qualification:

• Multi-skilled engineers ideally with both electrical and mechanical experience
• Proven track record in a multi-skilled engineering position
• Recognised engineering qualifications e.g. 17^th Edition
• Be comfortable in working in a meat processing environment.
• Ability to work independently and proactively, using own initiative to solve problems.
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• A flexible approach to working hours with the ability to do additional hours as and when required to meet business demands
