We are looking for a committed Inclusion and Belonging advisor with an expertise in Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) to champion our efforts in creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
In this pivotal post, you will play a key role in designing and executing strategic initiatives that advance fairness, respect, and a sense of belonging throughout the organisation.
You will collaborate with stakeholders at every level to integrate EDI principles into daily operations, fostering a positive and thriving workplace culture.

Main duties of the job
This role will concentrate on co-ordinating and implementing best practice measures, as well as leading collaborative efforts to identify and seize opportunities for improvement and change.
You will bring a strong commitment and passion for creating inclusive environments and practices where employees can be their authentic selves, are appreciated for their unique differences, and are supported to perform at their best.

Key responsibilities:
Work with the Head of Inclusion and Belonging to make sure national laws, guidelines, and new ideas are included in our policies, developments, and decisions.
Ensure our staff's lived experiences, insights, and perspectives are central to DCHS's business.
To lead on the mandatory and legal national EDI requirements.
To ensure we have in place appropriate mechanisms for the collection of data on protected characteristics and are able to track and measure our progress.
Person specification

Essential criteria- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- EDI qualification
Experience and Knowledge
Essential criteria- Experience of implementing EDI initiatives and best practice measures
- Experience of developing and implementing EDI training interventions
- Experience of analysing complex data and reporting it in a clear and concise way across multiple channels
- Experience of organising large scale events/projects across a number of organisations/sectors
Skills and Attributes
Essential criteria- Highly developed written and communication skills, with the ability to produce high level reports and written materials
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with an executive team, senior leaders and stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills – able to manage a busy workload, prioritise work, have fantastic attention to detail and meet set deadlines
- The ability to self-motivate, show initiative and drive

Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust (DCHS) is one of the largest providers of specialist community healthcare in England and we currently employ around 4,500 staff. We deliver a variety of services across Derbyshire, caring for nearly 1.8 million patients each year.
We deliver patient care through 11 community hospitals, 4 minor injury units, 29 health centres and a learning disability centre. Another key part of our service is out in the community where we care for people in their own homes via therapists, health visitors and district nurses, and promoting public health in the wider community.As a Trust we care for patients of all ages with a special focus on the needs of elderly people and the very young.
