Clinical Support Assistant (Occupational Therapy)

To work as a member of the Multi-disciplinary Team providing high quality interventions to individuals within our cognitive and functional pathways, whilst ensuring safety and promoting recovery, wellbeing and maximising independence. You will be required to consider carers needs and ensure carers are involved in the care planning where appropriate.
You will be involved in supporting the implementation of meaningful and person-centred care plans and making observations on progress. The overall responsibility for the service user remains with the registered occupational therapist. You will deliver interventions with supervision and guidance from a registered practitioner and as a lone worker where appropriate, undertaking delegated tasks within competency boundaries.
You will have a caseload of service users who present with a variety of Occupational Therapy needs, diverse presentations and a range of mental health physical health, neurological conditions, cognitive and/or learning disabilities. This caseload will be under regular supervision by a registered occupational therapist.
You will be working into a range of settings including the clients' own home and the local community, as well as providing support to clients who reside in residential and nursing care settings. Service users may present with a combination of physical, cognitive, sensory, psychological, behavioural and social needs, therefore a commitment to multi-disciplinary working is essential.
