This is a full-time post, working 37 hours per week.
Day to day of the role
Playing an active role in the marketing and promotion of the Specialist Provision within Foundation Learning, with particular emphasis on liaison with external partners, employers, and other key agencies.
Establishing and developing strong relationships with employers, and having a clear commitment to ensuring progress is robustly monitored.
Developing new placement opportunities and ensuring that communication with employers is timely, effective, and contributes to high employer satisfaction.
Carrying out a wide range of initial, formative and summative assessments to establish support needs and starting points, which are clearly mapped and track progress through vocational profiling.
Required skills and qualifications
Relevant successful SEND experience.
Evidence of previous success in gaining employment outcomes with learners with SEND.
Knowledge and understanding of learning difficulties and disabilities and how these may affect the way students learn.
Skills in the development and implementation of individual learning programmes.
