Prosper Multi Academy Trust of which Bolton Muslim Girls’ School is a part of is looking for a full Time, Permanent - Teacher of Mathematics
Starting from September 2025
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Mathematics Teacher who is reflective and a committed teacher to join the team of our successful Mathematics department, from September 2025. We invite aspiring candidates with a proven track record of rapidly and sustainably raising standards at school wide level.
We have extensive experience of providing excellent mentoring and support to new staff.
Information about the Department
The department comprises 6 Mathematics teachers, including the Head of Mathematics and Second in Department. This position is suitable for a newly qualified teacher.
Curriculum
Maths has a role of great importance within the curriculum, with KS3 and KS4 pupils studying 5 hours of Maths per week. The curriculum is developed to engage and inspire our pupils as young mathematicians. Maths is a popular subject within the school community, with excellent outcomes across Bolton borough.The department is a strong team, with each member playing a key role in the development of creative and enriching schemes of work. Opportunities are offered to pupils who require additional support or who belong to our Gifted and Talented cohort, and they are encouraged to do Further Maths.
The school’s aim is to provide a rich and broad education to all pupils, whatever their specialism. Whilst we aim to achieve the highest academic results for each pupil, we do not serve as an examination “factory”.

The new Ofsted framework emphasise more on a rich and varied curriculum and how it is taught than pupil progress and attainment in GCSEs. Regardless of current Ofsted grading of Requires Improvement, the school has continued to maintain its ranking in the top 20% nationally for Progress 8.The school’s GCSE results have been top of the borough for the last five consecutive years. The school has a track record of sustainable school improvements, and are looking to strengthen our team in the future.
Bolton Muslim Girls’ School is always over-subscribed with first choice applications. To meet with the growing demands for places and due to school’s popularity as a high achieving school. We have gone through a rapid expansion in terms of our curriculum , estate and pupil numbers.We have upgraded our facilities on the second and third floor of the Mill to create diverse spaces for Design & Technology, Art, Food Technology, RS, changing facilities for P.E., Music, Computing, Electronics, Resistant Material, textile and open space for Assemblies/Exams/Events, These provisions have significantly enhanced the learning environment for our students.
