Teacher of Trumpet and Lower Brass
We are seeking a dynamic and inspiring visiting teacher to join our large and thriving music department. This is a wonderful opportunity for an enthusiastic and accomplished brass musician who has a genuine passion for teaching young people, from complete beginners through to diploma level.
Pupils have the opportunity to perform in our Concert Band, Big Band and Symphony Orchestra and are prepared for ABRSM examinations as well as informal and public performances. We are also in the second year of an exciting beginner instrumental scheme for Year 7 pupils, which the successful candidate will contribute to.
What we're looking for- A high level of ability as a performing musician across trumpet and lower brass
- A genuine love of teaching and a flair for inspiring young musicians
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a rotational timetable
- A collaborative, team-minded approach and excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of ABRSM syllabi and exam processes
