Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic Phlebotomist, to work with the Integrated Community Team in the Derbyshire Dales locality.
The post base will be at the Whitworth Hospital in Matlock, and other areas within the Derbyshire Dales if the service requires.
2 x post involves working 37 hrs ( 18.5 hours per staff member) Monday - Friday between the hours of 8.30am - 14.30pm.
Working days can be flexible to applicants needs. This post does not require to work any weekends.
Ability to travel between any site where DCHS services are provided is essential for this post.
Main duties of the job
Our team focusses on providing excellent patient-centred care to people within their own homes. Therefore, it is essential that you have a keen interest and experience in this field.
The successful candidate will also have the ability to work as part of a team as well as on their own and be flexible.

Working for our organisation
Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.
We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and predominantly for this role in people’s own homes.
During the pandemic response we have led the implementation of public vaccination centres in collaboration with partners across health and social care.

Education, Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria- GCSE English Level C/Level 4 or above (or equivalent)
- NVQ 2 Health/Social Care
Experience and Knowledge Required
Essential criteria- Worked in a healthcare setting
- Willing to undertake the Care Certificate
- Venepuncture trained
IT skills
Essential criteria- IT experience - examples of systems used
- Willingness to learn to use System 1 EPR
- previous use of electronic patient records
Other
Essential criteria- Ability to travel to any site where DCHS services are provided
- UK driving licence
