Carpenter - Maintenance Occupied Properties

Pay Rate: £18.97 PAYE – Umbrella £20.80 per hour

Hays Recruitment is seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team for a 3-month project based in Stevenage. The successful candidate will work within occupied properties and social housing, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing carpentry tasks including installation, repair, and maintenance of structures and fixtures.
• Work efficiently within occupied properties, respecting residents' privacy and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
• Always adhere to health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably within social housing or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
• Carpentry experience including locks, hanging doors, boxing in, and PVC window and door repairs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
