I am a 32 year old female with Becker muscular dystrophy. I have limited mobility & get around using my powered wheelchair. I have a dog who I adore & love playing in the garden with him. I also like listening to music, playing on the Xbox, watching Netflix & a variety of crafts.I like to get out and about for walks to visit the local cafes.
Hours and Rate of Pay:
working on a two week rotaweek 1, 3 days and 1 waking over nightweek2, 2 over nights and two daysday shift is 7 hours (10am till 5pm)night shift 9 hours (10pm till 7am)working average of 31 hours a week £12.31 per hour.
The Person I Would Like:
I am looking for a female personal care assistant who is trustworthy, kind, reliable, confident & good with dogs.I would like someone sociable with a good sense of humour.Must have an interest in and be able to assist with my interest in arts & crafts.Flexible you will be joining a 24 hour care team and will be required to occasionally cover holidays & sicknesses.Experience of care work is desirable but not essential as all training will be provided.
What You Will be Doing:
The role will require you to support with all personal care tasks; including washing, showering and toileting. You will also be required to use hoists for all transfers, and you will also need to use nippy ventilator, cough assist and my physiotherapy alongside assisting to give medications.
**£12.31 an hour**

In addition, you will carry out some domestic tasks, such as help to keep the bedroom and bathroom clean and tidy and attend to laundry .Furthermore, you will also be required to support with social inclusion and to take me out and about into local community.Daily dog walks ( whatever the weather) with me are extremely important and you will need to be handle dog on a lead.
