Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay: £130 - £170 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-time, temporary cover
Are you a passionate Science Teacher looking for a rewarding role to finish the academic year? We are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join a secondary school in Plymouth, covering from Easter until July 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into an established department and inspire students through engaging science lessons.
The Role:
As a Science Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 teaching available for the right candidate).
- Prepare students for assessments and exams, ensuring they remain on track.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with the science department and wider school staff.
- Mark and assess student work in line with school policies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent – applications from Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome.
- Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 is desirable but not essential).
- A passion for science and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- A proactive and flexible approach to teaching.
