Up to £35,000 DOE
Monday-Friday 9am – 5.30pm
Liverpool or Leeds – Hybrid 1 day in the office

As a Motor Claims Teams Manager, you will bring your knowledge of Motor Claims and team management skills with you to successfully lead a team of high performing claims handlers. Reporting directly into the operations manager and supporting other Team Leaders.
You will be reviewing and allocating new claims, ensuring strategies are set, approving payments and ensuring your team retain quality standards.

What You Will Be Doing:
 •  Leading a team, motivating them and building rapport whilst establishing a high-performance culture
 •  Review and allocate claims, ensuring strategies are set and initial reserves are appropriate
 •  Approve payments within your financial authority levels
 •  Undertaking reviews for files within your team to ensure your team attain required quality standards
 •  Identify training needs across your team and recommend appropriate training solutions
 •  Review files, progressing to litigation and recording reasons and lessons learned
 •  Holding regular 1-2-1’s with your team
 •  Drive continuous improvement within claims handling
 •  Monitor staff performance, productivity, sickness and holidays. Liaising with HR, when necessary, on unsatisfactory performance
 •  Assist with recruitment of claims handlers and support staff when requested
 •  Presenting to colleagues of various levels in a way which motivates and sets expectations for quality and performance standards
 •  Ensure we’re always compliant with statutory and regulatory requirements and assist with internal and external audits
 •  Assist with the preparation of client, team and sector analysis and statistics

About You:
 •  Experienced and sound technical knowledge in Motor Claims
 •  Experience in leading and managing a team
 •  Have excellent communication skills with an ability to engage with clients and effect & manage change
 •  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
 •  Ability to respond to changing client requirements
 •  Excellent understanding of ‘best practice’ and contribute to its development
