Watford Mencap in Watford provides a range of services to people of all ages with a learning disability and their families in SW Herts. Services include residential care homes, supported living, community services, adult learning and leisure opportunities, short breaks and children’s and young people's services.
We are recruiting a Fundraiser to develop and deliver fundraising and income-generation activities including events, supporting volunteers and managing external relationships.

What does this Fundraiser job involve?

Hours of Work: 22.5 Hours Per Week - Shifts: 09:00 - 17:00

Develop and deliver activities which contribute towards Watford Mencap’s income generation strategy including events, digital and community fundraising.
 •  Maintain, expand and deliver a calendar of fundraising/promotional events
 •  Manage fundraising projects effectively from development through to planning, delivery and review
 •  Build and maintain positive external relationships with a range of stakeholders, such as supporters and donors to maximise income and other support.
 •  Maintain the Customer Relationship Management database (Salesforce)
 •  Maximise opportunities from advertising and promotion of events and fundraising initiatives, including the production of fundraising materials, videos.
 •  Create bespoke newsletters for different stakeholder groups
 •  Increase the profile of the charity through the use of local press and media coverage
 •  Actively encourage and expand the use of volunteers to support fundraising events.
 •  Contribute to the communications and social media strategy.
