Assistant Site Manager - Bordon

About this Role:

Assistant Site Manager required to work with the team on an £12m phased new build school and refurbishment project in Bordon, Hampshire. The project is due to commence in June for an 18 months plus duration.

Reporting to the Project Manager and Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing site-based construction activities including short-term programming of works, health and safety, review of method statements, risk assessments, call off of materials, logistics, quality control, client liaison, coordination meetings, reporting on progress against program, etc, snagging and handover.

This role is with the regional office of a busy Tier 1 main contractor with a good pipeline of work in the area including projects in Southampton, Portsmouth, and the wider Hampshire area.

About the Company/Client/Project:

The contractor is a busy national contractor with a £55m-65m annual turnover in the region, and a proven track record in the delivery of new build and refurbishment schemes in the education, defence, local authority, blue light, commercial and student accommodation sectors.

Typical patch covers Hampshire and Dorset.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

The successful candidate will have 3 years + of experience as a Trainee/Assistant Site Manager, will be highly motivated, proactive, demonstrating good developing technical, organisational, man-management, communication and communication skills.

Ideally from a construction management, engineering or trades background, you will possess good communication and man management skills, be well organised and proactive.

You will have sound developing planning and problem solving ability, with a positive, 'get it right first time' approach and a want to learn.

You will possess your SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications for this role.
