Job Title: 7.5T ADR Driver
Location: Ledbury, Herefordshire

Job Description: Swanstaff are currently seeking a skilled and reliable 7.5T ADR Driver to join our client based in Ledbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting hazardous agricultural materials safely and efficiently to various locations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1.  Safely operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle to transport hazardous agricultural materials, including fertilisers and pesticides, to designated locations.
  2.  Adhere to all ADR (European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road) regulations and ensure proper handling, loading, and unloading of hazardous materials.
  3.  Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with safety standards.
  4.  Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or issues encountered during transportation.
  5.  Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any concerns or inquiries.
  6.  Follow established routes and delivery schedules while making adjustments as needed to accommodate changes or unexpected circumstances.
  7.  Maintain a clean and organised vehicle, both internally and externally, and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
  8.  Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by adhering to all company policies and procedures, including those related to vehicle operation and hazardous material handling.
  9.  Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring timely and professional delivery of goods and addressing any customer concerns or inquiries in a courteous manner.
 10.  Uphold the company's reputation for excellence and professionalism at all times while representing the organisation in a positive manner.

Requirements:

  1.  Valid Category C1 (7.5T) driving license with a clean driving record.
  2.  A valid ADR certificate with relevant classes for the transportation of hazardous materials.
  3.  Previous experience driving commercial vehicles, preferably in a similar role transporting hazardous materials.
  4.  Strong knowledge of ADR regulations and requirements for the safe transportation of dangerous goods by road.
  5.  Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
  6.  Good communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
  7.  Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  8.  Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.
  9.  Physical fitness and the ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
 10.  A positive attitude and a commitment to upholding the company's values and standards.
