Accounts Assistant Part Time

As PiLON continues to grow, we are excited to offer an opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join our team. This position provides a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in finance while contributing to the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.

As part of your role you will gain hands-on experience in maintaining sales ledger financial records, exposure to month-end close processes, financial reporting and an insight into the day-to-day operations of a dynamic finance team.

Main Objectives of the role:

 •  ensure accuracy and completeness of sales ledger financial records
 •  record and update sales transactions in a timely manner
 •  reconcile sales ledger accounts regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies
 •  collaborate with other finance team members to maintain overall ledger integrity
 •  ensure customer invoices are prepared and submitted to clients in accordance with the contracts, in a timely manner
 •  processing of daily cash receipts into the system and matching to the correct invoice
 •  organise and maintain orderly financial documentation related to sales transactions
 •  accurately input financial data into relevant systems
 •  conduct periodic checks to ensure data accuracy and address any errors promptly
 •  preparation of aged debtor reports

Do you have what it takes?
 •  currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
 •  strong attention to detail, methodical approach to work and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records
 •  basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
 •  basic knowlede of sales ledger processes and credit control procedures
 •  basic understanding of accounting function and book-keeping
 •  proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software is highly desirable
 •  excellent organisational and time-management skills
 •  good communication skills
 •  ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
