40 hours per week: Monday to Friday - 8 am to 5 pm (1 hour lunch). Part Time or Reduced hours are considered for this role.

£30,000 per year

We are looking for a Finance Officer for an exciting opportunity with our client based in Kimbolton. This role would suit anyone with a strong Accountancy background looking for a new temporary challenge - this is a highly varied position which will demand quick learning, all-round experience and an ability to work under pressure.

In this office-based role you will be working within a team of two and you must be available to start work on 1st May 2024.

Key duties and responsibilities of the Finance Officer:

Checking of supplier invoices against received purchase orders and delivery information.
Coding and inputting of purchase invoices.
Supplier invoice entering, calculation of supplier discounts and bank payment list preparation.
Occasional banking of cheques by post.
Matching invoices to Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and match GRNs to supplier invoices.
General finance administration duties.
Create new accounts via a template for any new customers.
Journal processing and email mailbox management.

Key experience and skills required for the Finance Officer:

Previous Accountancy background or AAT qualified.

Good Microsoft office proficiency (Intermediate user of Excel)
Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, and organisation.
Able to work well within a team but also be able to manage own workload.
