The Alcohol Care Team has an opportunity to recruit a part time Administration & Clerical Officer to support the continued development of this pilot scheme supported by NHS England.

The post-holder will be based at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford. The service currently runs over 5 days, Monday to Friday, however this may extend to 7-day working as the programme expands.

To fulfil this role you will need good communication and organisational skills. You must have the ability to work under pressure, prioritise workloads and work to deadlines. Keyboard skills with experience of data inputting are essential along with 4 GCSE's including English and Maths (grade 4 - 9 or equivalent).

The role is general administrative duties; assisting with the organisation of patient interactions, ensuring all relevant databases are maintained accurately, retrieving patient case notes and filing.

You will also provide support to senior members of staff, minute taking in team meetings and responding to telephone calls from patients, carers and professional staff.
 •  Locate patients on SaTH Trust PAS and update demographic details where appropriate
Prepare patient documentation creating new case notes if required.
 •  Create and maintain accurate referrals on ACT Database for all new appropriate patients.
 •  Request medical notes. Book notes in / out adhering to SaTH guidelines.Ensure medical notes
are dispatched in a timely manner.
 •  Distribute patient’s notes and results, to relevant secretaries, medical records
or appointment departments as required.
 •  Appropriate filing of documented evidence into patients notes and uploading of relevant
documentation to clinical portal.

The team comprises of a Lead Alcohol Nurse, senior alcohol nurse and 2 alcohol practitioners.
