Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to lead a small SEND intervention class for Key Stage 2 students in the mornings and provide support to SEND children within mainstream classes. Additionally, the successful candidate will assist the school's SENDCo with paperwork, meetings, and reviews related to SEND provision in the afternoons.

Responsibilities:

 •  Plan, teach, and assess a small intervention class for Key Stage 2 SEND students in the mornings.
 •  Provide support to SEND students within mainstream classes, ensuring their individual needs are met.
 •  Collaborate with class teachers to implement strategies and accommodations for SEND students.
 •  Assist the SENDCo with paperwork, meetings, and reviews related to SEND provision.
 •  Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
 •  Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and external agencies involved in supporting SEND students.

Requirements:

 •  Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Unqualified Teacher Status (UQT) with relevant experience.
 •  Experience teaching children with SEND, either in mainstream or specialist provision, is highly desirable.
 •  Strong understanding of SEND legislation, best practices, and interventions.
 •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 •  Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
 •  A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to pursue further training in SEND.

Desirable Qualifications/Experience:

 •  Experience working in a similar role or a desire to pursue a career as a SENDCo.
 •  Additional qualifications or training related to Special Educational Needs
