Main Purpose
Management & successful delivery of electrical projects
Duties & Responsibilities
• Oversee electrical projects from conception through to successful handover
• Prepare & Update H&S documentation, including all aspects of the company SMS.
• Manage procurement of all equipment, including technical reviews, obtaining relevant approvals and keeping within budgets.
• Prepare and update programmes, both construction & detailed commissioning.
• Work closely with the design team, ensuring compliance at all times.
• Report to senior management on a regular basis regarding progress / performance of projects.
• Assist commercial dept. with the financial aspects of the project, which include providing accurate labour projections.
• Attend / chair various client / site meetings
• Deal with aftercare of projects, including closing out defects
Skills & Knowledge
• Site management experience
• Strong knowledge of all electrical systems
• Microsoft Office (including Microsoft Project)
• SMSTS
• CSCS (Black Managers)
• H&S / RAMS
Person Specification
• Has a proven track record in successful delivery of various types of project.
• Must be commercially aware
• Must have the technical knowledge to interrogate electrical designs / specifications in order to;
1. ensure the design is compliant
2. look for ways / opportunities to VE the design
• Ability to work under pressure
• Must be comfortable dealing with multiple projects at any one time.
• Good attitude
• Essential to build / maintain relationships with clients as we have a lot of repeat business.
Attributes
• HNC Building Services Engineering
• Apprenticeship in electrical discipline
• Working Knowledge of Mechanical Systems
• Experience in delivering school refurbishments and new build . Hospital projects, ensuring compliance with the latest SHTM’s
