MS411 - PCV Mechanic
Location: Nottingham
Salary: £19.61 per hour
Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking PCV Mechanic on behalf of one of clients. Applications from HGV Mechanics will also be given due consideration.
Hours of Work:
Sunday to Saturday, five from seven. Varying hours on a rotating shift pattern.
4 x 8 hours and 1 x 7.5 hours shifts
37 paid hours, 39.5 hour week total
Applications from ex-military personnel are encouraged but all applications will be given due consideration.
Duties & Responsibilities:
To maintain, inspect, diagnose, repair and test mechanical and electrical systems and equipment
To carry out any repairs as necessary to ensure safe and roadworthy vehicles to a high standard of reliability and quality
Carry out any reasonable maintenance activities
Adhere to health & safety standards
Skills & Qualifications:
Have a strong work ethic and understand the need to be reliable and flexible
Full UK driving licence
PCV driving licence is desired however training may be considered for the right candidate
Experience of Cummins & Scania drivetrain & electrical systems
Experience of modern electrical systems & OEM diagnostic systems
At least 3 years post qualifying experience ideally in a main dealer or PSV workshop
Holder of a recognised apprenticeship qualification (City and Guilds or NVQ level 3)
