I am a male in my 30's and live at home with my family. I have Cerebal Palsy effecting all four limbs, Epilepsy and profound learning disabilities. I am non verbal and quite shy, however with the support of my Family, Current PA's a bespoke training programme in time also my own pace my personality will shine through.
I have a very supportive family and currently have 3 highly trained PA's who between them all support me 24 hours a day.
This ensures all my care needs are met and I can continue to live at home as well as accessing the community for socialising and medical appointments in my own private vehicle.
I am looking for one additional team member to join my current PA's, a caring, patient natured person is a must.
You need to be unfazed by my complexed health needs, learn to be able to support me on a one to one basis when confident also to ensure I remain safe.
All aspects of personal and medical care are required this includes my PEG feeding regime as well as administrating my medication also via my PEG.
Training will be given for my respiratory needs as well as supporting me with my mobility needs.
You will be required to get to know me, my family as well as my team of exceptional caring PA's whom have become a huge part of my and my families lives.
There will be team meetings and shadowing sessions to enable us all work together for the same result and of course to make my life fun too.
Full mandatory and Specialised training will be provided.
Driving the clients vehicle is required.
Hours 20 hours per week. Including every other weekend. The role is will be paid at £12.86 per hour weekday and weekends. There will also be opportunity for overtime as and when required.
About You:
Ideal qualities: Car drivers in order for me to access the community. Preferably holding a full, clean, UK driving license and non-smokers.
5. 6 weeks holiday is awarded per year as standard (pro rata for part time positions). Employees are also able to join the Company Pension scheme after 3 months’ service, subject to the rules of the scheme, as well as our Cash Back Health Plan after completion of a successful probation period.
