If the answer is yes to all of the above and you are highly motivated newly qualified or experienced nurses – we are looking for you to join our Salford Community District Nursing team. we currently have band 5 posts available in Broughton, Eccles and the Ordsall and Claremont area of Salford.

All staff will have a six week supernumerary induction period and support from the senior nursing team. Newly qualified staff will have a full preceptorship programme and qualified staffs that have not previously worked in the Community will have a mentor and a designated trainer to assist with the transition into the community setting.

You will also benefit from personal and professional development including opportunities to undertake the Community specialist practitioner qualification, non-medical prescribing, leadership and clinical modules, and band 5 development programme.

The District Nursing Service provides care to patients and their families in their own homes and in a clinic setting. The teams are based at Lanceburn (inner city Salford), Broughton, Irlam, Swinton, Walkden and Eccles.

You will work with your own caseload with full support of your Team Leader. Your caseload will be varied to your skills and training requirements. It will have a variety of patients with health and social care needs. This can vary from simple and complex patient care to looking after people at the end of their lives who wish to remain at home.
You will work closely with the MDT (Social Workers, GP’s and Allied Health Professionals) to ensure that patient care is appropriately coordinated.

Please note an NMC PRN PIN is not a full NMC PIN and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as an Registered Nurse or Midwife in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC PIN within the next 3 months.

The NCA can no longer accept applications from International Nurses and Midwives who are yet to complete all competencies needed to receive a full NMC PIN to practice in the UK as we have paused our OSCE programme indefinitely.
