Retford, Nottinghamshire (commutable from Sheffield, Lincoln and surrounding areas)
Salary - £30,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)

SRG is working with a leading manufacturer of high spec polymer and composite products. Based in the North Nottinghamshire area, they have recently started hiring for a new member of their team laboratory team. This is a great opportunity for a chemist or engineer with a background in polymers and materials.
You will join a growing team in a fast-moving lab environment with a wide range of specialist materials testing equipment. Applications from new PhD graduates are welcome and individuals with previous industry experience would be considered at the upper end of the salary scale.

Role Description
Developing and implementing new polymer-based products as well as improving existing products
Using specialist knowledge on polymers and nanomaterials to deliver strategic projects
Analysis of material properties with specialist mechanical testing techniques
Tweaking polymer formulations and troubleshooting
Liaising with customers and suppliers
Adhering to safety standards and Working safely in a laboratory environment
Requirements
Degree in chemistry, engineering or similar relevant discipline
Experience in a chemicals manufacturing or polymer engineering role would be advantageous
Experience in materials development
Working knowledge of polymers and elastomers
Ability to travel or relocate to the Retford on a daily basis
Strong Microsoft office skills
Full right to work in the UK.
