Buyer - Temporary Contract

Are you an experienced Buyer looking for a new opportunity to showcase your expertise and contribute to a dynamic team? If so, we have a fantastic temporary position available for you!

Our client is seeking a skilled Buyer to join their team for a 3-month temporary contract. This is a full-time position where you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge in purchasing while working alongside a dedicated and cross-functional team.

This opportunity would suit someone immediately available.

The salary for this position is £30,000-£35,000.

Responsibilities:

Continually evaluate current and prospective vendors to ensure the best possible cost, quality, delivery, and overall supplier reliability.
Conduct data analysis, including using tools such as Excel and pivot tables, to support purchasing decisions.
Negotiate prices, terms, and related issues with vendors to secure favourable agreements.
Collaborate effectively with other departments, such as production, R&D, sales, stores, and accounts, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Maintain accurate records and update information in the ERP system, ideally Microsoft Dynamics.
Identify and source alternative components to support production needs.

Assist in resolving invoice queries in a timely manner to maintain smooth payment processes.Requirements:

Previous experience in a buying position.
Proficiency in data analysis, including using tools such as Excel and pivot tables.
Experience with ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational skills with a practical approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work independently and proactively.
