We are looking for a motivated Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) Manager to join a market leader in their respective industry. Reporting to the Operations Director, the successful candidate will be entrusted to lead parts of the business right from the start with responsibility for key results and involve managing hard and soft services, site and facilities maintenance, QHSE group and improvement projects for the site.
The position will appeal to a strong QHSE professional looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.

Role & Responsibilities:

Define targets and continuously improve the company's overall Quality function to exceed customer expectation in product quality, delivery and responsiveness.
Manage and develop the QHSE team in line with our values and behaviours.
As part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate colleagues to achieve excellence. Coach and develop others.
Work with Engineering, Production, Operations and Supply Chain to ensure all product, process and legal requirements are defined and met.
Improve and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS), procedures, control plans, operating instructions, and records to meet both the above.
Define the company's audit programme to cover supplier management, incoming goods, internal product, and process conformity
Drive continuous improvement to remove errors, reduce scrap and solve customer and supplier issues in timely fashion. Use recognised CI tools and techniques and train others in the use of them (Six Sigma, process capability, A3, 8D, Practical problem solving, etc).

Define and support the company's internal Manufacturing requirements regarding product quality to meet the above.
Define and support the company's external Supply Chain requirements regarding product quality to meet the above.
Manage the business laboratory and ensure that all equipment is calibrated and optimised for use. * Effectively manage customer returns and all non-conformances in a timely manner.
Effective reporting of quality metrics from shopfloor to Board level.
Develop the relevant quality tools to make sure managers and employees understand how they can improve the business.
To undertake any other duties appropriate to the level of the post, as required.What you'll need to succeed

Candidate Requirements (essential): Educated to degree level in an Engineering discipline.
Certified Lead Auditor ISO9001: 2015 * IOSH Level 3
At least 5 years' experience in a Senior QA role in a Manufacturing /Engineering business.
Thorough knowledge and experience in the implementation and maintenance of core quality tools: PFLOW, PFMEA, CPLAN, DFMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP & APQP.

Proven experience in driving continuous quality improvement and creating an advanced quality culture through improvement techniques such as Kaizen & 6 Sigma.
Demonstrable customer relation skills including experience as technical lead in the customer line and warranty claims analysis, must include extensive A3/8D experience.
Proven ability to train others in APQP (SPC, MSA, FMEA, PPAP).
Experience of Developing a business level QMS system.

3 years' experience in Health & Safety Management
Ability to communicate effectively and build working relationships within organization and with suppliers and customers.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Excellent analytical and reporting skills.

5 years' experience of QHSE Manager in Automotive working with IATF 16949:2016
Experience and competencies in hazard Identification, risk management and compliance management.
