A great client of mine in Cannock is seeking a highly motivated Financial Accountant (FTC 12 months), to join their General Ledger team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of the financial operations.
You will be offered a competitive salary between £35,000-£44,000 and the flexibility to work from home 2-3 times a week.
What you'll be doing:
Assist the team in completing monthly tasks and adhering to deadlines.
Review and update data on various platforms efficiently and accurately.
Generate reports by retrieving information from the system.
Prioritise workload and ensure data accuracy.
Support the team with daily tasks and meet deadlines.
Analyse large data sets and manually input data where necessary.
Maintain the fixed asset register, ensuring accurate processing and authorisation of transactions.
Calculate monthly depreciation charges and update book values.
Manage standard cost updates for ancillary items using Excel spreadsheets.
Re code system errors and cost of sale variances.
Process and reconcile allocated general ledger accounts (accruals & prepayments).
Assist with quarterly balance sheet reviews and audit requests.
Perform other ad-hoc finance duties and support the team as required.You'll be a great fit if you have:
Experience working in a fast-paced financial environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
The ability to prioritise workload and work independently.
